DESCRIPTION:(english below)\nNeue Ausstellung im Gruppenraum des Sonntags-Clubs August bis September: \n„Verschlungen werden und strahlend Leuchten“ \n\nMarlo Noa Klemt (Dey/Dem) wurde in Brüssel geboren und lebt in Berlin. Deren künstlerische Medien sind Malerei und Zeichnung.\n\nMarlo wurde schon früh durch deren Mutter, Frauke Klemt-Kanold, gefördert, die auch künstlerisch tätig ist. Marlos Stil hat sich durch die Verarbeitung und Aufarbeitung von Gewalt und Trauma und deren Folgen von figürlichen Zeichnungen hin zu abstrakter Malerei entwickelt. Die Kompositionen berichten von deren Transition und den damit einhergehenden Gefühlen.\nDie Auren und Schmerzen durch deren chronische Migräne und die Einschränkungen der posttraumatischen Belastungsstörung machten das Entstehen dieser Werkreihe möglich. Es geht in Marlos Werken um Ausweglosigkeit und Hoffnung, um verschlungen werden und strahlend leuchten. Auf den ersten Blick sprühen die Gemälde voll Lebensfreude, doch bei näherer Betrachtung werden die Kämpfe der Farben sichtbar. Diese Ambivalenzen treten hervor und werden in den Kompositionen ausgehalten.\nDie Arbeiten werden in kleinen Auflagen gedruckt und können bei Interesse erworben werden. Die Ausstellung wird von Manuel Garcia, Elvin Vogel und Marlo Noa Klemt kuratiert.\n\n\n\n\n<br<\n(english)\nNew Exhibition in the Sunday Club Group Room – August to September:\n\n“Engulfing and brightly shining”\n\nMarlo Noa Klemt (Dey/Dem) was born in Brussels and lives in Berlin. Their artistic media are painting and drawing. Marlo was encouraged from an early age by their mother, Frauke Klemt-Kanold, who is also an artist. Marlo’s style has evolved – through the processing and working-through of violence, trauma, and their aftermath—from figurative drawings toward abstract painting. The compositions tell the story of their transition and the emotions accompanying it.\nThe auras and pain caused by their chronic migraines, along with the limitations imposed by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), made the creation of this series of works possible. Marlo’s works explore themes of hopelessness and hope – of being swallowed up and of shining brightly. At first glance, the paintings radiate a zest for life; yet upon closer inspection, the struggles within the colors become visible. These ambivalences emerge and are held within the compositions.\nThe works are printed in small editions and are available for purchase for those interested. The exhibition is curated by Manuel Garcia, Elvin Vogel, and Marlo Noa Klemt.\n\n
