Das partizipative Projekt – eine Zusammenarbeit der Stadtbibliothek Pankow und der Künstlerin Jana Maria Dohmann – möchte auf die Zensur von Büchern in US-amerikanischen Bibliotheken und Schulen aufmerksam machen, darunter insbesondere Werke, die Rassismus, Queerness oder Sexualität thematisieren. Die Aktion des Lese-Chors lädt dazu ein, den zensierten Werken besondere Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken und ihnen temporär eine Stimme zu leihen.\nDie Veranstaltungen, Lese-Chor findet am 30.11.2025 um 19 Uhr im SONNTAGS-CLUB statt.\nGefördert wird das Programm durch die @stbibpankow.\n\n\nBANNED BOOKS (are talking back) – READING CHOIR\n\nCome to the collective reading evening of BANNED BOOKS and become part of a solidarity action. The participatory project – a collaboration between the Pankow City Library and the artist Jana Maria Dohmann – aims to draw attention to the censorship of books in American libraries and schools, particularly works that deal with racism, queerness, or sexuality. The reading choir action invites participants to give special attention to the censored works and temporarily lend them a voice.\nThe event, Reading Choir, will take place on November 30, 2025, at 7 PM at the SONNTAGS-CLUB.\nThe program is supported by @stbibpankow.\n\n
